Our Client is an international consulting business, based in the UK. Providing an integrated range of engineering, environmental, planning and management consulting services to the transport, property, development, environmental, water and renewable energy sectors.
Senior Engineering Geologist/Environmental Scientist to be responsible in conjunction with the operations managers for organizing and running GI teams on site for geotechnical and contaminated land investigations. You will oversee and undertake project reporting requirements and assist senior staff with proposals and tender submissions. Projects will include a variety of Highway, Railway and private and public sector development projects. The job will require that there is a clear programme of training and skills improvement for junior staff.
- Considerable post graduate experience gained with a Site Investigation contractor in the UK including both geotechnical and contaminated land investigations.
- Prepared to take on new challenges and responsibilities and above all be a good team member.
- Flexibility in working hours and an ability to work on projects as necessary throughout the UK.
- A demonstrable commitment to Health and Safety issues relating to GI works is essential.
- Degree in Engineering Geology or similar and ideally a post graduate qualification related to environmental sciences.
- Project management experience and also desirably, laboratory soils testing experience.
- Railway qualifications i.e. PTS, COSS etc are also desirable.
