Our client nuclear services business unit provides engineering and risk management consultancy to a range of UK and overseas nuclear operators, regulators and contractors. Providing a front end design and consultancy service to underpin the feasibility and conceptual stages of projects, through to the full design service and support to operation of nuclear facilities, including the decommissioning of redundant facilities and the management of radioactive wastes.
We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to work within Nuclear Process Engineering Team.
The successful applicant will be part of a team working with technical experts from a variety of groups and organisations providing a multidisciplinary approach for clients within the nuclear industry. You will be required to produce a full range of engineering deliverables, and manage and develop a team of professionals to meet cost, programme and quality requirements.
- Chemical Engineering Degree and be Chartered or working towards Chartership.
The successful candidate will be required to:-
- Have nuclear process engineering experience particularly during project definition and/or design phases.
- Have experience in specifying, progressing and interpreting the results of test-work undertaken on
development rigs.
- Be comfortable in working and dealing with others within both a science-based and engineering environment.
- Have strong analytical skills and a proven ability to interpret complex data to arrive at robust working assumptions.
- Have strong communication skills in order to liaise successfully with technical experts and non-technical personnel,
both in writing and in meetings from other functions and organisations.
- Have experience of business development, bid proposal preparation, programming, work scope definition,
man-hour estimation and the ability to progress work in a multi disciplinary team is essential.
- Have experience in the development of optioneering studies, participation in HAZOPS and design and project reviews.
